To provide a charging device for a camera with which a user does not lose a shutter chance by preventing the camera from being disturbed by the charging device, even at the time other than a charging time and always maintaining the camera in a charged state, while comfortably ensuring a life space by providing a clock part provided with a display part at an outer packaging part with respect to a charging device separate from the camera.
This camera 1 is pushed in a charger 2 connected to the plug socket 3 of a home AC power source, and a secondary battery at the inside of the camera is charged in this state, so that energy is fully stored, when the user 5 wants to use it. Then, the charger 2 possesses a clock display part 4, so that it is constituted also as an alarm clock. Thus, it has a second function different from that of the camera 1, so that it naturally matches with indoor layout and atmosphere as a body that the user is not made conscious of the charger 2 by the second function even at the time other than the time of charging the camera 2.
