To provide a charging device and a charging method for preventing an overvoltage even if charging time is short, and to provide a portable terminal equipped with the same.
Based on charging conditions inputted from an A/D converter 6, a CPU 7 acquires, from a ROM 8, a correction condition to be added to a center voltage and adds it to the center voltage. The CPU 7 acquires a correction condition on resistance polarization from the ROM 8 when a charging current is inputted thereinto, acquires a correction condition on diffusion polarization therefrom when a voltage is inputted, and acquires a correction condition on activation polarization therefrom when temperature is inputted. The CPU 7 determines a final voltage by adding correction values on the respective polarizations to the center voltage and controls a charging switch 10 so that charging is performed with a constant current until a charging voltage reaches the final voltage.
