Abstract:
To provide a charging device capable of detecting a connection abnormality even in the case where the charging is not performed just after the connection.SOLUTION: A charging device A1 that charges a power storage battery 21 of an electric mobile body 2 that drives an electric motor by power of the power storage battery 21 and moves, comprises: a DC power supply part 11 that outputs DC power; a charging connector 121 that is connected to the electric mobile body 2, and supplies the DC power output by the DC power supply part 11 to the electric mobile body 2; and a control part 17 that performs charging by controlling the DC power supply part 11. The control part 17 issues a command for outputting current only during a predetermined time T to the DC power supply part 11 in a setting that the charging is not just started even if the electric mobile body 2 is connected to the charging connector 121, and detects a connection abnormality of the charging connector 121 if the current in accordance with the command does not flow.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
