Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to manage with one power source to charge and discharge a battery for a device performing a charging and discharging test of the secondary battery and, at the same time, to enable the reduction of the loss in a power control section.
SOLUTION: A first branch line between a power switch Q2 turned on in the case of charging and a power switch Q5 turned on in the case of discharging and a second branch line between a power switch Q4 turned on in the case of discharging and a power switch Q3 turned on in the case of discharging are connected in parallel to a secondary battery BAT, a charging, and discharging bias power source 2 and a power controlling power device Q1 are connected in series between middle points of both branch lines, and a power control circuit 1 for controlling the current value is connected to the power controlling power device Q1. Voltage generating required charging current by compensating voltage drop in a charging path is supplied to the charging and discharging bias power source 2 in the case of charging, and a bias voltage control circuit 3 for controlling the charging and discharging bias power source 2 in accordance with battery voltage VBAT is so connected that the voltage drop in a discharging path is compensated to supply the bias voltage generating required discharging current in the case of the last stage of discharging.
