Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charging member which prevents generation of abnormal discharge even under low temperature and low humidity and has high charging ability.SOLUTION: The charging member includes a support and a surface layer. The surface layer contains polymetalloxane having a metal atom M1 selected from Ti, Zr, Hf, V, Nb, Ta, W, Al, Ga, In, and Ge, where M1 in the polymetalloxane and a constitutional unit having a plurality of C1-C3 alkyl groups are bound to each other via a linking group having a substituted or unsubstituted phenylene group and oxygen.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
