To provide a charging port cover for a disposer, which is capable of allowing an adequate amount (per unit time) of water to flow from a sink into a disposer when the disposer is operated, and also allowing a lager amount of water than the above amount of water during the disposer operation, to flow from the sink into the disposer when stopped.

This charging port cover for a disposer is provided with a peripheral flow passage formed in the space between a charging port and the cover, a plurality of inflow holes formed in the upper surface of the cover, a water channel trap 11 that is placed inside the cover and communicates with the inflow holes, and a guide plate 13 that is placed in the lower part of the cover and downwardly and radially inclined in relation to the horizontal, with the center as an apex, which components 11 and 13 are detachably fixed by screws, respectively, wherein, at a certain cover position at which the cover is rotated around the center shaft of the disposer, water is allowed to downwardly flow through the peripheral flow passage between the charging port and the cover; and at another cover position at which the cover is rotated by e.g. 90° from the above position, the cover is allowed to sink and the peripheral flow passage is closed, to radially discharge a specified amount of water toward the inner wall of a garbage grinding section of the disposer form the plurality of inflow holes formed in the upper surface of the cover through the trap 11 inside the cover and the guide plate 13 in the lower part of the cover and to allow the discharged water to downwardly flow.
