To enhance charging efficiency of a plurality of power accumulators for relation with the temperature of the power accumulators, without computing the acceptability of charging at each power accumulator, when the plurality of power accumulators are charged in order, in a charging system.

A charging system includes a charging circuit which charges three power accumulators, i.e. batteries, in order from a commercial power supply, a temperature sensor which detects the temperature of each battery, and a control section. The control section has a selecting means, a charge control means and a battery temperature control means. The selecting means selects a battery to be charged preferentially out of yet to be charged batteries. The charge control means controls the charging circuit which charges the battery to be preferentially charged. The battery temperature control means cools or warms a battery which is not charged yet during charging operation of the battery to be charged preferentially, and the detection temperature of which is shifted from a preset temperature or the temperature range to the high-temperature side or the low-temperature side.
