To provide a charging type electric vacuum cleaner in which when there exists fluctuation of charging batteries with electricity caused by imperfection of charging, it is informed by a displaying means and when individual batteries are charged, both charging batteries with electricity are always finished by full charging.

When the battery 13 or 23 is charged with electricity, it is connected with a discharge (refresh) circuit. A battery electric voltage detecting part 38 detects remaining amount of the battery by the terminal electric voltage of the battery 13 or 23. A control part 36 locks action of a charge driving part 37 from the detected electric voltage and outputs a action signal to a refresh driving part 40 to make it on and the battery is discharged (refreshed) to a definite value through the refresh part 39 consisting of a discharge resistance. As the result of discharging, when the same remaining amounts of the batteries are obtained, the control part 36 locks the action of the refresh driving part 40 and drives the charge driving part and the first battery 13 and the second battery 22 are started to be simultaneously charged with electricity from chargers 30b and 30c to make the charging time the same.
