Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase bending strength of charging vessel of radioactive waste constituted of concrete at least partly, improve impact resistivity and reduce leaching rate of radioactivity.
SOLUTION: A solidifying vessel is lined in an iron drum 23 with a concrete vessel 24. The concrete vessel 24 is constituted of cement, fine aggregate, coarse aggregate and species adsorbing reinforcing matter. The cement is a hydraulic solidifyer of cement group and for the species adsorbing reinforcing matter, fiber active charcoal having adsorbing performance for radioactive unclear species is used. With the aide of the species adsorbing reinforcing matter in the concrete vessel 24, the bending strength of the concrete vessel 24 is increased and the impact resistivity is improved. As the nuclear species adsorbing reinforcing matter has a characteristic of adsorbing radioactive species, the solidifying vessel provided with the concrete vessel 24 can improve distribution coefficient for the radioactive species and so the leaching rate of radioactivity can be reduced.
