A measuring device 4 provided with a wheel 43 mounted onto a roller 22 of a chassis dynamometer 2 is provided with: a frame 42 for rotatably supporting the wheel 43 in a center location in a side-to-side direction; a first motor 44 fixed to the left side of the frame 42; and a second motor 45 fixed to the right side of the frame 42. Motor shafts of the first motor 44 and the second motor 45 are connected to the right and left of a rotary shaft of the wheel 43, respectively. A chassis dynamometer verifying system is provided with: a first shaft torquemeter 48 for measuring shaft torque working between the motor shaft of the first motor and the wheel 43; and a second shaft torquemeter 49 for measuring shaft torque working between the motor shaft of the second motor and the wheel 43. A verification processing device 5 computes a force acting between the wheel 43 and the roller 22 from a sum of torques measured by both torquemeters.
