Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chassis supporting beam of light weight and of excellent operational strength.
SOLUTION: A chassis supporting beam consists of an upper shell 1 and lower shell 2, both being made of aluminum sheets of natural strength and lap welded together, and a plurality of reinforcement plates distributed on the inside surface of the lower shell 2 along the whole length thereof. The reinforcement plates 3 have positioning projections which obtusely abuts on the foot portions of the upper shell 1.
