To solve a conventional problem of incapability of inserting a check valve wholly through a main circuit when it is inserted in a perpendicular direction to the main circuit in the case two hydraulic continuously variable transmissions are disposed side-to-side on a single oil passage plate.
In this check valve 35, a sleeve 36 is slidably engaged in the direction of a main oil passage with a valve hole 32h, and a seat member 37 is engaged with the valve hole 32. A coil spring 38 to energize the sleeve is provided to disconnect the main oil passage from a charge circuit 32c when the sleeve is in an abutment state with the seat member. When the sleeve is in a separated state from the seat member, the main oil passage is communicated with the charge circuit. Outer diameter of a seating part of the seat member to be seated on a step part 36f between the valve hole and the main circuit is set to be smaller than outer diameter of the sleeve. The sleeve is formed with a step to have a small diameter part 36b and a large diameter part 36b, and the outer diameter of the seat member is similar to or smaller than the outer diameter part of the sleeve.
