Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily detect a partial bend of a sheet-like object by calculating a straight line and the straightness of a side of the object from the position information detected at least one or more of corner positions of both sides forming at least a single side of the object and an intermediate position of the side and comparing the calculated straightness with a prescribed standard of straightness to decide a floating or non-floating state of the object.
SOLUTION: When the state of a sheet-like object to be checked is detected, 12 points are detected in all, i.e., the corner positions of both sides of each of four sides forming the object and the intermediate positions of these sides. When those said corner positions and a single intermediate position are detected, the coordinate positions of corners 1b and 2b and an intermediate position 3b are set on a certain straight liner as long as the object is set at a normal original placing position. When the object is not normally set but it is bent for example, at its placing position, the three points 1b and 2b and 3b are not set on the same straight line. Thereby three points in all can satisfy this situation and accordingly a single intermediate position suffices.
