Abstract:
To provide a checkout system in which communications with clients are sufficiently attained, services are improved and workability is improved by reducing the burdens of operators when selling articles.
A scanning unit 3 having a code reader 5 for reading a code symbol and a settlement unit 4 for settling accounts related to articles read by the scanning unit 3 are erected at positions closer to the client side of a soccer table 2 along with the flow of article selling work, the operator side of the scanning unit 3 is formed with a basket passing area 11a where a basket can be passed, and the settlement unit 4 is formed with a basket passing space 11b where the basket can be passed in a gap from a receiving face 2a of the soccer table 2.
