Abstract:
To obtain a new chelate-forming fiber, to provide a method for producing the same and a technique for efficiently scavenging metal ions of copper, zinc, nickel, cobalt, etc., by using the fiber.
The chelate-forming fiber is obtained by introducing a metal chelate-forming functional group represented by general formula [1] to molecules on the surface of the fiber. The method for producing the chelate-forming fiber is provided. The method for scavenging metal ions comprises using the fiber.
