PURPOSE: To operate a multiple kinds of chemical analyses in a short time without changing the connections of flowing passages or analysis units by a method wherein an analysis unit is installed in a device body and a stored analysis method is transmitted to the device so that a sample is analyzed in accordance with the analysis method.
CONSTITUTION: When, for example, an analysis unit 11 is selected to be installed in an analysis device 2, a fluid-signal connector of the unit 11 is connected to a fluid-signal connector 4 of the device 2 and a controller-signal processor 6 is activated to read a processing sequence, an analysis method, a data processing method and the like therein. In accordance with the read sequence, a sampling section 3 sucks a sample and sends it together with a carrier liquid 91 to a chromatographic column of the unit 11 via the fluid connector 4. In synchronism with that, a fluid control section 5 sends a reagent 92 to an ejection section of the unit 11 via the fluid connector 4. The sample of which reaction is completed is sent back to a detection section 7 of the device 2 to be measured by a detector 7 and the result is indicated on an indicator 8.
