Abstract:

To facilitate driving into a base material, and to increase extracting resistance at its extracting from the base material by heating a fastener for quenching, and forming an acrylic polymer coating, while quickly cooling the fastener in the water base medium which includes the acrylic polymer.

A continuous stitch body 10 is maintained by wires 14, 16 welded to narrow and long fasteners 12, and the fastener 12 includes a head part 18 and a shaft part 20 and includes carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum or the like in response to the final use and the base material of driving without limiting the combination thereof. Each fastener 12 is coated with a thin polymer coating 34, and the coating 34 coats one or more specified parts or the whole of each fastener 12 in response to the purpose of use, and the coating 34 is composed of the acrylic polymer, copolymer, derivative thereof, and combination thereof. Before coating the coating 34, the fastener 12 is heated to about 204-1,093°C and dropped into a water base medium which includes the polymer so as to be quenched. Driving into a base material is thereby facilitated, and extracting resistance can be improved.
