Abstract:

To provide a chemical heat pump capable of storing the heat of a heat source of a comparatively low temperature near 100°C such as the cooling water of an internal combustion engine and a fuel cell without mixing a plurality of compounds as a heat storage material.

The chemical heat pump includes a reaction container 11 in which lithium hydroxide monohydrate is charged to execute a dehydration heat absorbing reaction for decomposing lithium hydroxide monohydrate into lithium hydroxide and water vapor, and a hydration heat generating reaction of lithium hydroxide generated by the dehydration heat absorbing reaction, and a storage tank 13 for storing the water of water vapor and liquid generated by the dehydration heat absorbing reaction in the reaction container 11. Furthermore, the chemical heat pump includes solenoid opening/closing valves 14, V disposed in pipes 12, A for making the reaction container 11 communicate with the storage tank 13, and a heat exchanger 16 for heating, supplying heat to the reaction container 11 to promote the dehydration heat absorbing reaction in the reaction container 11.
