Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chemical heat storage device for suppressing a decline in the heat generation performance due to the thermodecomposition of ammonia.SOLUTION: The chemical heat storage device includes: a reactor having a heat storage material 24 to generate heat by chemical reaction with reaction medium and desorbing the reaction medium by the absorption of the heat, and a container 27 storing the heat storage material 24; a reservoir for reserving the reaction medium; and a connection pipe communicating the reactor with the reservoir, for distributing the reaction medium between the reactor and the reservoir. The reaction medium is ammonia. The container 27 is formed of metallic material (for example, stainless steel). At least in an area having contact with the ammonia on the inner face of the container 27, a coating layer 28 of ceramic (for example, silicon dioxide, diamond-like carbon, or titanium nitride) is formed to cover the inner face of the container 27.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
