Title:
CHEMICAL INJECTOR FOR RECTANGULAR COOLING TOWER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3675180
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a chemical injector applicable to rectangular cooling tower by disposing a float sensor on the bottom of a water spray plate for flowing hot water to be cooled from a water spray hole downward into a filler and providing a chemical injection pump controlled by a signal from the float sensor.
SOLUTION: A hot water supply tank 18 is disposed above each water spray plate 14 of a rectangular cooling tower 10 while spaced apart therefrom. Water spreading on water spray plate 14 drops onto a filler 16 and flows downward therefrom. A chemical injector 21 comprising a chemical tank 20, a chemical injection pump 22 for sucking chemical (scale-proof agent, rustproof agent, algae extinction agent, and the like) from the chemical tank and injecting it over the water spray plate 14 or into the supply tank 18, and a liquid supply pipe 23 is disposed on the side of the cooling tower. Furthermore, a float sensor 24 comprising a tubular body 25 and a float 26 incorporating a magnet is fixed onto the water spray plate 14 and the chemical injection pump 22 is subjected to on/off control according to up/down motion of the float.
