Abstract:

To provide a device and its method of use for performing a chemical reaction between a liquid or a gas reactive substance and a solid reactive substance in which the application of ultrasonic waves can be realized on an indistrial scale, the safe operation properties can be retained and the reaction speed is increased remarkably.

This device is provided with a funnel-shaped reaction chamber 3 and a container 13 disposed following the reaction chamber, and the funnel- shaped reaction chamber 3 is of a truncated cone shape, and ultrasonic wave sources 5 and 6 are attached on its bottom face 4, and at least one of nozzles 2a and 2b is formed in the vicinity of the ultrasonic wave sources 5 and 6 so that a liquid or a gas reactive substance is passed through the nozzle and fed to the reaction chamber 3. The device is used for carrying out an organic metal reaction, for instance, the Grignard reaction.
