Title:
CHEMICAL-RESISTANT COMPOSITE STRUCTURE AND GARMENT MANUFACTURED FROM SAID STRUCTURE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH01195041
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE: To enhance flexibility by constituting a composite structure by a fabric substrate and coated films thermally-melt-bonded on both sides thereof, and constituting the coated film by a PTFE film having a thermoplastic fluoropolymer coating on both sides thereof. CONSTITUTION: The composite structure 10 comprises a fabric substrate 11, and a coated film 12 like a coated film having a chemical resistance thermally- melt-bonded on both sides thereof. The film 12 is formed of a PTFE film 13 having a thermoplastic fluoropolymer coating 14 on both sides thereof. A thermally-melt-bonding process is controlled to melt a thermoplastic fluoropolymer, and hence the film can be bonded to the fabric without melting the fabric. As the substrate 11, a knitted fabric, woven fabric or nonwoven fabric substance adapted to use as a normal garments is used. Thus, the structure having a light weight, flexibility and chemical resistance and the garments can be obtained.
