Abstract:

To provide a novel chemiluminescent reagent which enables the measurement of the activity of an peroxidase enzyme in the presence of hydrogen peroxide or the like and can be utilized in the detection, microanalysis, or the like of various substances.

The chemiluminescent reagent is obtained by bringing an N,N'- di-substituted 9,9'-bisacridinium salt into contact with a reducing agent under irradiation with ultraviolet rays in the presence of an N,N-di-substituted carboxamide compound, desirably, formic acid in an organic solvent and enables the measurement of the activity of a peroxidaze enzyme in the presence of hydrogen peroxide or the like.
