Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chest capable of facilitating the change of a door opening/closing direction.SOLUTION: A chest 1 made of colored plywood includes: a chest body 3 formed to have a rectangular parallelepiped shape with an open front surface side with the use of a pair of sideboards 10, a top board 21, shelf boards 23, and a bottom board 25; and rectangular plate-like doors 40 openably attached by covering the front surface side opening parts of the chest body 3. Each door 40 is attachable to the chest body 3 so as to be horizontally openable rightward/leftward with the front end of one of the pair of sideboards 10 as a center, and also is attachable to the chest body 3 so as to be vertically openable upward/downward with the front end of the shelf board 23 or the bottom board 25 as a center. The door 40 includes an opening/closing operation part 46 that is positioned close to a portion where the front end of the other of the pair of sideboards 10 intersects with the front end of the top board 21 or the shelf board 23, to thereby operate the opening/closing of the door 40 while the door 40 is closed to cover the front surface side opening part.
