PURPOSE: To provide chewing tea which can be enjoyed its taste, flavor and drug action, easily, only by chewing even in a place lack in water, by sealing tea leaves in a capsule or tabletting tea leaves with or without processing.

CONSTITUTION: The commercially available tea leaves are optionally pulverized, granulated, or slitted (or decocted with hot water and then dried), and dried sufficiently. The dried tea is sealed in a capsule or tabletted to obtain the objective chewing tea. The retaining of the quality of the tea leaves is most difficult for green tea, moderate for oolong tea and relatively easy for black tea.
