Abstract:
A chimney having an outer column (1) and an inner brick lining (5) spaced therefrom, has an insulated metal member 7 joined to the inner lining and extending through the outer chimney column to form a breeching entry. The member 7 is supported by suspension means coacting with the outer chimney column. An expansion joint may be incorporated in the member 7.
