Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a durable chip card reader which securely engages a card at a read position and which prevents use without much authority to a considerable degree.
SOLUTION: The chip card reader is provided with a housing 10, a guide path formed in the housing 10 for storing a chip card 14, a housing-side contact point supporting body 26 and a locking member 16 grasping the chip card 14 from the back at the read position. The locking member 16 is constituted by an L-shaped arm.
