PURPOSE: To align and supply chips in a line by detecting the chips in a pick position by a sensor and at the same time rotating a screw shaft provided at a groove by a certain amount and then feeding the chips.
CONSTITUTION: Chips 12 naturally falling from a bulk case 10 pass through the slope of a body frame 24 as if they were aligned in line and then are supplied to the part of a screw shaft 20. The pitch for one rotation is determined so that the chips 12 can be supplied successively by allowing the screw shaft 20 to rotate by one turn, it is detected whether the chips 12 exist on a pick position which is a fixed position by a sensor 26 provided at the body frame 24, and then assembly adjustment is made so that the chips 12 are located at the pick position, thus aligning and supplying the chips 12 in line by a certain amount without blocking.
