Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chip compressing machine which can send the chips accumulated in a hopper efficienfly to a compressing device entirely. SOLUTION: A chip compressing machine 100 has a hopper 1 for accumulating chips, a spiral screw 4 as a chip carrying part formed on the bottom 1b side of the hopper 1 and a compressing cylinder block 10 for compressing the chips carried by the spiral screw 4. In the hopper 1, a push in member (discharge assist part) 2 for assisting the discharge of the chips from the hopper 1 is installed slidably and a claw 3 as the projrection for stiring the chips is provided in a claw shape warped on the chip introduction port 1a side of the hopper 1 on the end surface 2a of the push in direction of the push in member 2.
