To provide a chip discharging method used in cutting an existing fluid pipe on a discharge port of which a water stop body is smoothly sealed and installed without catching chips after the chips in a case body is discharged without residing in a discharge passage.
This chip discharging method is constituted of a first process to discharge the chips produced in cutting the existing fluid pipe out of the case body 2 by passing them through the discharge port 6 provided on the case body 2 and the inside of the discharge passage in one direction communicated to the discharge port 6 with fluid and a second process to seal and install the water stop body 7 to stop water in the discharge port 6 by inserting it into the inside of the discharge passage in the one direction by a water stop body sealing and installing means 10 after the first process.
