Abstract:
PURPOSE: To automate chip feed of a rotary blade type chip melting furnace.
CONSTITUTION: A chip feeder where the chip feed rate and chip feed speed can be control is provided in a chip processing chamber 2a of a chip melting furnace. A molten metal level sensor 7 is also equipped to halt the chip feed of the chip feeder when the molten metal sensor 7 detects a rise in a molten metal level exceeding a specified level. A rotary blades 1a made of a refractory material are made as separate pieces from a shaft so that rotary blades 1a can be replaced.
