This chip is composed of 60-90 pts.wt. of an elastic porous rubber and 10-40 pts.wt. of a thermoplastic resin and formed in a short cut tube of 5-20mm length, 3-20mm inner diameter and 0.5-3mm wall thickness. The soil amendment chips 1 or a mixture thereof with soil is preferably spread in the soil in a layer of 10-300mm thickness for soil amendment.
