To compose a supply means of capable of supplying chips thrown into a chip bath to a chip conveyance rail reliably and speedily without damaging the chips and without generating a fitted state in a bamboo shoot shape in a chip aligner for setting the chips to a chip rack automatically.

A floorboard 20 of the chip bath 2 is tilted in one direction. A chip supply bar 3 is placed at an edge in an inclination direction of the floor while being linked to an elevation operation mechanism 4 so that an end face 30 of the top may be elevated from a height position nearly aligned to the floor surface of the chip bath 2 to an ascending position elevated higher than the floor surface. Also, the end face 30 of the top in the chip supply bar 3 is formed on an inclination surface descending and tilting in one direction. A guide wall 5 for checking a chip (b) traveling by the inclination surface is placed on the front at the side of a descending inclination of the end face 30 so that the upper end edge may be nearly flush with the end face 30 of the top of the chip supply bar 3 at an ascending position.
