Abstract:
To obtain a chip type light emitting diode in which the light is emitted only from a desired surface of a transparent body.
A semiconductor chip 4 constituting a light emitting diode is mounted on a substrate 1 and covered with a transparent body 8 to obtain a chip type light emitting diode. A reflector 9 for reflecting the light emitted from the semiconductor chip 4 is provided on a predetermined surface of the transparent body 8.
