PURPOSE: To obtain the title composition excellent in heat and weather resistances and good in the balance among mechanical strengths by mixing a chlorinated ethylene polymer with a hydrotalcite group and an epoxy resin.
CONSTITUTION: The composition is prepared by mixing 100 pts.wt. chlorinated ethylene polymer with 1.0-15 pts.wt. hydrotalcite group as an acid acceptor, 1.0-10 pts.wt. benzotriazole amine salt of formula I wherein R1, R2 and R3 are each H or an 18 C or lower hydrocarbon group, may be suitably combined with each other to form a hydrocarbon ring or may be suitably combined with each other to form a hetero-cyclic ring containing the hetero atom, provided that not all of them can be H at the same time or dithiocarbamic acid amine salt of formula II wherein R4 and R5 are each an 18C or lower hydrocarbon group, and may be combined with each other to form a hydrocarbon ring or may be combined with each other to form a heterocyclic ring containing the hetero atom, 0.01-5.0 pts.wt. mercaptotriazine compound of the formula III wherein R6 is -SR or -NH2, and 0.5-5 pts.wt.
