Abstract:
PURPOSE: To enhance a tensile characteristic.
CONSTITUTION: In a chlorinated polyethylene sheath cable where a conductor 1 is covered with a coating layer 4, an organic silane compound is grafted into a composition prepared by adding 1-50 pts.wt. of an epoxy stabilizer and 10-100 pts.wt. of an inorganic filler into 100 pts.wt. of a resin including chlorinated polyethylene and nylon within a range from 95/5 to 20/80 in wt.%. The conductor 1 is covered with the resultant mixture, to be exposed to water in the presence of a silanol condensation catalyst, followed by crosslinking. Consequently, a tensile characteristic of the coating layer can be enhanced.
