Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a chlorine-containing resin composition improved in transperency and color phase useful as film or sheet for packaging and for building materials by formulating a metal salt of monophthalate eater and a carboxylate salt as stabilizers to a chlorine-containing resin.
CONSTITUTION: A chlorine-containing resin such as PVC is combined with (A) a metal salt of monophthalate ester of formula I (R is an alkyl or an aryl, etc., M is a univalent or a bivalent metal, (n) is 1 or 2) such as zinc monobenzyl phthalate (B) a metal salt of a carboxylic acid or phenol, and, when needed, (C) a β-diketone compound of formula II (R1 and R2 are each an alkyl, an aryl, etc., R3 is H or an alkyl, etc.) such as stearoyl-benzoylmethane as stabilizers to give the objective composition. The metal in the component B is preferably a combination of Ba-Zn or Ca-Zn.
