Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chopsticks-like device and a chopsticks auxiliary device in which grip strength can sufficiently be given to the tips of chopsticks and fingers and a palm are brought into contact with a wide area, and thereby the movement of the tips of the chopsticks is controlled to make it easy to grab food even by a user of small grip strength while providing the sufficient grip strength to the tips of the chopsticks.SOLUTION: A chopsticks-like device includes: a first member comprising a first side face supported by at least one finger and a first chopsticks-like member; a second member comprising a second side face supported by the other finger and a second chopsticks-like member; a fulcrum shaft where respective portions of the first member and the second member are overlapped together and pivoted in a turning manner; an elastic member for providing repulsive force in the direction to open the first member and the second member when being gripped; and turning regulation means for regulating a rotatable range. The chopsticks-like device is configured such that the first member is assumed to be a plane in a portion overlapped with the second member, the second member is assumed to be the plane in the portion overlapped with the first member, and the fulcrum shaft is sandwiched by an extension line of the first chopsticks-like member and the second chopsticks-like member when the tips of the first chopsticks-like member and the second chopsticks-like member are brought into the closest position.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
