Abstract:

PURPOSE: To enable treatment of chromatography using an eluate having high absorptivity for ultraviolet rays similarly as usual liquid chromatography by inverting photoelectrically transduced input signal around a referential level as center of inversion and overlapping corrected level on a base line.

CONSTITUTION: Ultraviolet rays having 280nm wavelength having transmitted a flow cell is transformed to an electric signal by a photoelectric conversion element 606 corresponding to the light energy of the ultraviolet rays, and amplified by an operational amplifier 608, 609, then inversed around a referential level as a center by an operational amplifier 617, and corrected level is overlapped by an electric power source 618. To an inverting inputting terminal of a logarithmic conversion section 612, signals of the same polarity as generated by the usual liquid chromatography are added. The output of a logarithmic conversion section 612 is added to the operational amplifier 627, and the feed back amt. is adjusted. Thus, the chromatography is performed by the same procedure as the usual liquid chromatography by converting a signal expressing the difference between the absorptivity for ultraviolet rays of an electrolytic liquid and that for ion to a signal expressing the absorptivity for ultraviolet rays of the sample.
