Abstract:

To provide a catalyst component for the production of ethylenic polymers, a useful new chromium complex containing a disiloxane-1,3-diamide ligand, a catalyst containing the complex and useful for the production of ethylenic polymers and a method for the production of ethylenic polymers by using the catalyst.

The chromium complex contains a disiloxane-1,3-diamide ligand expressed by general formula (1) (the definitions of the signs in the formula are described in the specification). The catalyst for the production of ethylenic polymers is composed of the chromium complex and an organoaluminum compound. The method for the production of ethylenic polymer comprises the use of the catalyst.
