Abstract:
To form a high concentration chromium-iron alloy layer on the surface of a battery jar for a sodium-sulfur battery.
In the chromizing treatment process, a chromizing treatment agent is prepared by adding an accelerator made of mixture of cerium or cerium and yttrium or lanthanum to a chromizing mix compsosed of 10-60% chromium powder, 0.5-2.0% ammonium chloride powder, and 50-80% alumina powder, and by using this treatment agent, a chromizing treatment is conducted to a battery jar base material made of steel or iron having a small carbon content.
