PURPOSE: To prevent a collision accident at the sorting-stacking time by detecting the weight of a large-size heavy load at the inlet of a chute, and controlling the skid frictional force of a load falling from a sorter tray to skid so as to enable the heavy load to fall-skid slowly and the light load to skid comparatively fast.
CONSTITUTION: In a chute for conveying out a load from a sorter, weight detecting plates 19, 19' for measuring load weight are provided on the upstream side of a shoot 18 for sliding a load 9 from a tray 6 to a load collecting free roller conveyor, and a load friction control part A formed of a brake roller 38 and a free roller 39 is provided on the downstream side of the weight detecting plates 19, 19'. The weight detecting plate 19 is supported by a spring 19b, and the friction control part A performs friction control in correspondence with the displacement of the weight detecting plates 19, 19' through displacement converting mechanism B formed of the combination of link mechanism and a gear so as to provide the brake roller 38 with rotational braking force.
