Abstract:
To provide a cigarette filter tow comprising a cellulose acetate tow having a high uncrimping energy (UCE) and a low fly.
There is provided a cigarette filter tow comprising a cellulose acetate tow, wherein the relation of average UCE to average fly is fly(g/30 min)<0.00009e(0.0209UCE) and also the fly value is 0.06 at most, and the cigarette filter tow is produced by a process comprising a step of plasticizing the tow and a step of crimping the tow after plasticization by using a crimper communicating to a stuffer box channel and having an induction crimping roll and a steam injector.
