PURPOSE: To simplify a circuit board as a whole and increase the integration density and reliability by constituting with resistor materials the whole or a part of terminal electrodes of a capacitor formed on the circuit board.
CONSTITUTION: A circuit board 10 is an insulating board of a ceramic board, etc., and a high-permittivity region 11 ranging from one main surface of the board 10 to the other is provided at a built-in capacitor forming area. Besides, a first terminal electrode 14 is formed on one surface of the high-permittivity region 11 and a second terminal electrode 15 is formed on the opposite surface. And, at least one terminal electrode, the first terminal electrode 14, for example, is made of appropriate resistor materials and makes a resistive terminal electrode 14. As at least one capacitor terminal electrode comprises a resistor as it is on this circuit board, the occupied area region of the capacitor and that of the resistor lap each other on a plane at least partially. Accordingly, in comparison with the case where a capacitor and a resistor are formed at completely different areas as before, the size can be reduced to that extent. Besides, at least the wiring pattern between the capacitor and the resistor becomes unnecessary too.
