Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a circuit breaker securing an insulating performance and wear resistance of a pin for hinge coupling and insulation of a link in a switching mechanism, thereby suppressing the abrasion and damage of the pin, and capable of solving a contact pressure reduction and contact resistance increase problem between a movable contact and a stationary contact; and a method of producing a pin for a switching mechanism of the circuit breaker.SOLUTION: A circuit breaker includes: a stationary contact 10 installed in a fixed manner; a movable contact 20 configured to be brought into contact with or separated from the stationary contact 10; and a switching mechanism 130 configured to switch the movable contact 20. The switching mechanism 130 includes: a shaft 74 rotatably installed therein; a transfer link 90 configured to transfer a driving force from the shaft 74 to the movable contact 20; and an insulating pin 180 configured to hinge-couple the shaft 74 to the transfer link 90 and insulate between the shaft 74 and the transfer link 90. In the insulating pin 180, a wear resistant member 184 is installed at a contact portion with the shaft 74.
