To improve an assembly structure for a molded case of circuit breakers which can achieve an improvement in assemblability and safety in maintenance work.
A circuit breaker comprises: a molded case 1 containing contactor sections each of which includes a stationary contactor 5 and a movable contactor 7, an arc-extinguishing device 9, a switching mechanism 10, and an over-current tripping device 12, or additionally, a leakage current detection device 13, a leakage tripping device, and internal accessories. The molded case 1 is formed in a dividable structure having a main case 2, a middle cover 3 and a top cover 4. Wherein the middle cover 3 has a recess 3a partitioned with a bottom wall in a central section thereof and is laid on the main case 2, and the top cover 4 covers the top side of the recess 3a. The assembly structure of them is designed to house the contactor sections, the arc-extinguishing device 9, the switching mechanism 10, and the over-current tripping device 12 in the main case 2, and the switching mechanism 10, the internal accessories, the leakage tripping device in the recess 3a, and further an auxiliary cover 14 which, together with the middle cover 3, covers the switching mechanism 10 is additionally mounted inside the top cover 4.
