Abstract:
To provide a circuit breaker which can operate certainly by supplying a voltage necessary for a trip coil, even when a very large current such as a short circuit current flows in an AC electric path.
A trip coil 4 is driven by a logical product (AND) output of an output signal of a time limiting circuit 12 which outputs an output signal by a time limit corresponding to the size of the current flowing in an AC electric path based on the output voltage which a detection resistance 7 has generated and an output signal of a voltage detection circuit 11 which outputs an output signal when the voltage inputted from a coil supply power source generating circuit 10 reaches a voltage value capable of driving the trip coil 4.
