To provide a circuit breaker which can restrict deformation of a display member to prevent erroneous display.
The circuit breaker comprises a unit body 10, a contact mechanism 13, a handle 140 which includes a body part 40 having formed therein a restraint wall 41 which protrudes in an axial direction along the periphery, a handle spring 147 which energizes the body part 40 toward an open pole position, a display member 16 having display parts 16A-16C and a projection piece 164 projecting in a direction opposite to the restraint wall 41, and a latch spring 145 which energizes the display member 16 toward a trip position side. When the body part 40 is rotated to an open pole position, the display member 16, following that rotation, rotates in the other direction causing the projection piece 164 to abut on an outer peripheral surface of the restraint wall 41, so that when tripped, the display member 16 is rotated by an energizing force of the latch spring 145 in the other direction to a trip position, and the projection piece 164 and the inner peripheral surface of the restraint wall 41 face each other.
