Title:
CIRCUIT BREAKER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2012253042
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To break the connection between both poles of a power supply with certainty in all overcurrent regions.

A circuit breaker is arranged to a feeder circuit feeding a power from a power supply 10 to a load 20. The circuit breaker has: a fuse 30 inserted between one pole of the power supply 10 and the load 20; a circuit breaker 40 breaking the connection between both poles of the power supply 10 cooperating with melting of the fuse 30; a sub circuit configured by connecting a trip coil 50 and a switch 60 in series, and having one end connected to a cable way on the power supply side of the fuse 30 and the other end connected to a cable way on the other pole side of the power supply 10 where the fuse 30 is not inserted; and a switch driving part 70 closing the switch 60 cooperating with melting of the fuse 30. To the trip coil 50, a voltage is applied by a potential difference between both ends of the fuse 30 when the switch 60 is closed. The circuit breaker 40 is actuated by the trip coil 50 to which the voltage is applied to break the connection between both poles of the power supply 10.
