To provide an easy-to-assemble circuit breaker.
The circuit breaker includes a fixed contact 230 and a movable contact element 24 having a movable contact 240 which comes in contact with and separates away from the fixed contact 230. The movable contact element 24 is driven by a circuit breaking mechanism including an electromagnet device 31, a bimetal 32 and a lever 41 which rotates receiving an operation force via a link mechanism respectively. Any of plural link members 51-54, 501 and 502 constituting the link mechanism includes no part which sandwiches other component part in a direction parallel to the rotation shaft of the lever 41. For example, a movable shaft 502, which is inserted through a support member 51 and the movable contact element 24, is inserted at one side in the support member 51 at the one side of the movable contact element 24. With this, the link members 51-54, 501 and 502 can be assembled from the one side in a direction parallel to a rotation shaft; thus, the circuit breaker can be easily assembled.
